The license to cover for the increase from a 500 watt class A to 7000 watts as a class C3 was filed, so presumably it's on the air. That makes wonder what the future for KQMB/K244DH is and how quickly it might get here. The stream for Utah's Goat is unaffected right now but I can't tell what's on the air. The stream is airing the ID and sweepers but no commercials during the hour I've been listening. I've made airchecks, so I'll still have those at least.

Sounds like you think the Goat might switch formats? :/

96.7 from Lake Mountain (K244DH) is still playing “Utah’s Goat”.
And, FWIW, KKUT HD3 is on the air but silent.

jmpstar, yes I did, however my recent track record on predictions isn't good. My thinking was that the current state of Utah's Goat felt to me like it's there because 'why not?' I would think it's likely that Sanpete would put their own mark on whatever ends up on those frequencies, whether it's the Goat or some other format. They haven't done that yet, but maybe they're still working on it. The other thing that was bothering me was the lack of commercials, but as I'm listening to the stream now the commercials are back. Maybe there was a glitch yesterday. *shrug* With that change I'm much less confident in saying I think it will flip than I was yesterday.
saltfevr, which signal has an open carrier? If KKUT-HD3 has dead air then K244DH must go silent as well by law. The stream is running as normal right now.

KKUT-HD3 is still on but silent.

For what it’s worth, KKUT-HD3 is no longer silent. It’s carrying “Utah’s Goat” again. K244DH (96.7) continues to carry the Goat.

The title of this post is now correct. It should have read 'KQMB files for license to cover' when I made it. The application has now been approved. Sorry about that.
In new business, KQMB has now filed (and been approved for) a callsign change to KUTN effective Wed 11/9. KUTN was the callsign more than 20 years ago of what's now KCVB up in Logan, but I don't know if there's any connection. It could stand for almost anything. Maybe we'll find out on Wednesday. The stream is still running Utah's Goat.
