They've been having issues since at least April.

Is this the STL issue that is caused by a building under construction near their studio? That was reported months ago. Are they lifting conductive glass windows, or metal panels, that are causing interference? What is the call sign for their STL?

Found the STL info (the old FCC stuff is shut down now): WQYY535, 946.000 MHz (V) What was the address of the offending building construction?

We had a dormitory get in the way......aren't architects supposed to consider all the variables like existing sewer, underground wiring, water mains, overhead power lines, licensed microwave paths?

They said it was a "power problem at their transmitter"...on Facebook, days ago. Don't people realize that Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are not God? Why not update the info on the actual home page? And, realize that not everyone subscribes to every app and doo-hickey on the market. I really hate when I have to go and sign up for an app to get an emergency warning. ("Was that an earthquake? Where's my credit card?")
As for blocking, I know Singapore requires owners of new buildings to provide an alternate path for blocked signals.

Ken, I'm nearly certain that there are two completely separate issues. 88.3 was off the air completely, I think Monday. That seems to be fixed. (There have also been off the air issues over the past few days on the TV side as well.) That kind of a temporary condition is the kind of update that social media is good for, but I wouldn't necessarily expect someone to go through the hassle of updating the homepage. Even if they did, once the issue was resolved the notice would be taken down. On the other hand, the notice about signal distortion has been on their homepage since April. Yes, I checked. So that's an ongoing problem and is still correctly being given a prominent place on the website. As far as construction messing with the STL, we talked about that last year. talkingutahradio.proboards.com/thread/2092/wrong-kcpws-signalThey declared that problem fixed, but now there's something else. Whether this year's problem (also apparently starting in April) is a recurrence of the same problem I don't know. I would lean toward no since the STL license hasn't changed since 2017 and the message from KCPW last year mentions "a new studio transmitter link was in place." That would lead me to think there's something other than WQYY535 that they're using at least part of the time.
