A few strange things happening again this month, but whatever. KSL returned to earth from their stratospheric numbers but still remains on top, followed by KNRS close behind. KSOP-FM continues to climb and remains by far the highest rated country station though K-Bull made a big gain this month. KODJ and Arrow both took hits over the past couple of months but both are recovering.
FM100 took a tumble this month and is surprisingly low. My 99.5 continues its downward tumble. Both stations of course are now running Christmas so I suspect the downward trends will be short lived. This does set up an interesting question for My 99.5 come January. I'm still certain that their flip to Christmas had nothing to do with their ratings and was mandated by corporate. The format's future is a little more in doubt now. The Sept and Oct numbers were on par with last years ratings. Nov is definitely down, but we know that anomalies happen. I think it would be a big mistake to change in January before seeing what kind of momentum the holiday music will bring but we'll see.
The surprise of the month goes to 100.7 Bob FM which had a huge percentage jump. As a rimshot, they beat 6 of the full market Farnsworth commercial stations (7 if you count U92 which is at a lower power.) Good news for Broadway, we'll see if it lasts.
The I-almost-snoozed-through-it Award goes to KZNS AM & FM which aren't showing any significant change after the joining to KSL Sports. I've noticed quite a bit of TV advertising for the KSL Sports group lately. We'll see what hat does.
The Oh-hi-there Award goes to KRSP-FM-HD2 (Deep Tracks I believe) which showed up for the first time according to my records.
