I don't even think I'm going to try to make sense of the ratings this month. There were sharp changes all over the place. Still not showing Business 99.1 though and The Wave was one of the stable ones this month.

There had to be some monitor changes. KBEE, KRSP, KJMY and KAAZ all took a dump and KSL and KNRS had huge boosts and none of them made any programming changes during the monitoring period that I know of except maybe that there were 2 BYU football games on KSL during the period, but that's a pretty big jump for 2 limited programs.

Hey my interview on KRCL helped raise the ratings. (big grin)
Huh? Oh ok so one interview wouldn't do that. That's ok. (wink)

Poor U92.
I know hip-hop isn't doing great these days (as a format), but it's not exactly gone the way of Active Rock. Hip-hop outlets like Hot 97, Real 92.3, WGCI, etc. all seem to be holding up fairly well. When I'm in Salt Lake, I find the format an absolute mess.
"Utah's Rhythm"? What is it? A rhythmic AC now? No. It's still technically hip-hop. But instead of embracing being hard and being a party place, it's trying to act like it's a soft, friendly place. So it becomes a place that's to rebellious for scared white girls (playlist), but not cool enough to pick up partyin' young hispanic males (positioning). Needs less Doja Cat and more Megan Thee Stallion. You're a hip-hop station. Bang the tunes and stop acting scared!
The Marathon/Millcreek people let the PDs/MDs play around and the station became a local legend. Simmons acted like a slumlord. Then the Broadway people really invested in it. The station was killer around 2015. And then, they sort of let it deteriorate. Now it's an absolute mess. Which explains why the HD2 feed via 105.1 now nearly ties it in the 6+ ratings.
For some of us, seeing the decline of U92 would be like seeing someone slowly kill X96. It's local sacrilege.
