Before we even get to the ratings themselves I need to point out that this Holiday period is different from the typical Holiday period, and not just because of That Virus. Due to a quirk of the calendar it actually ran 5 weeks (Dec 3 - Jan 6) instead of the usual 4. That comes out to 23 days in the "Christmas season" including Christmas Day, plus 12 days after Christmas. That's going to skew the results. That being said.....
I'm sure nobody's surprised that FM100.3 came out on top. The ratings weren't as high as in previous years, but see above. I'm sure Bonneville is still very happy.
KSL and KNRS had their numbers return to the general area where they more typically are. I'm honestly not sure where they might go for January. It was yet another crazy month in Washington and that might have driven listeners back to the news/talk stations. KUER meanwhile has maintained their higher than normal ratings which is also very interesting.
The dip for Now 97.9 I mentioned in last month's review reversed a little, though it's still down from where it normally is. That still bears watching as does K-Bear who's been sliding over the past few months, and K-Bull who took a hit. (See what I did there?)
To follow up on the question from another thread about The Wave, they've remained pretty consistent for the last 4 months. If the Weber State games are hurting them it isn't showing here.
No ratings yet for Kool-FM. They might still be lumped in with The Eagle. We'll have to see.
