Sense when did KKAT start carrying Dave Ramsey? If I were Dave Ramsey. I would be furious about being on KKAT. First of all, the signal is awful. Second, hardly anyone listens to 860 KKAT. Third, he is only carried from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Only 2 hours of his 3-hour show. I haven’t listened to Buck Sexton enough to have an opinion yet. Buck Sexton is now heard on 105.9 KNRS. When did all this happen?

I can't think of anywhere KKAT has a bad signal in the valley. not that i check every day, but where do they have signal issues? Also, they have had some ratings periods in the last year that were at least higher than where they'd been for a long time. nothing earth shattering but maybe things will trend up a bit for them. As for KNRS, i wonder what they're ratings will be like post election. Sure they'll probably drop some, but might be interesting to see going forward.

Sexton was added to KNRS Sept 21. Ramsey was added to KKAT effective Nov 16.
Sexton is an iHeart property as is KNRS. Ramsey is his own thing as far as I can tell. That alone is a reason to switch. I'm pretty sure Ramsey would have been happier being on the higher rated KNRS but at least he's on the air here.
FYI the new ratings should be coming out Wednesday.

Dave Ramsey's show is also on KVNU 610 from 6-9 PM weeknights, and unlike KKAT, KVNU carries the full three hours.
I don't have any problems hearing KKAT in Ogden, even after dark with its puny 196 watts. I'm sure Ramsey's show is on other stations that have worse signal coverage than KKAT, and I don't believe Dave has much say in which stations carry his program. The main idea is to be on as many affiliates as possible, mostly so the networks and salespeople can say "we have an affiliate there".

As I said before, I believe Ramsey owns his own show. That is, his company IS the syndicator.

I thought Dave is syndicated through Westwood One which is a Cumulus property...

From what I see Westwood One is the contractor who provides physical distribution but Dave does the actual syndicating and owns the show. www.ramseymedia.com/syndicateIf you're seeing something I'm not please tell me.

I thought I heard that Ramsey was retiring or something, maybe in a few months. Seems like I read that in several places, just a few weeks ago.

I haven't read anything that indicates Dave will be retiring. I believe you're thinking of Clark Howard, who has announced he'll be retiring at the end of 2020. This article says Ramsey's program will be replacing Howard's show on WTMJ radio in Milwaukee. wtmj.com/news/2020/12/17/retiring-clark-howard-grateful-to-wtmj-listeners/amp/

To spite what TMJ says, Clark Howard is not retiring. He is ending his syndicated show, but his other projects will continue.

Yeah, I guess it was Clark Howard. I get those two confused.
