Anyone know of a problem at KSVN? I've got a strong carrier, but no audio other than the TOH ID. I first noticed it over the weekend.

Heard the carrier dip and come back up to full, about 6:33 PM. Then, a commercial ran. Maybe automation is running, but the transmitter is not switching to low power? They must have lost their incoming program (which I've been impressed with since it's recent startup). (I'm starting to hear another station in the background).

For some reason it's only the audio on the AM frequency that's messed up. KSVN's FM translator on 99.9 is loud and clear in NE Ogden.

Is the secondary audio working on the TV channel?

I called one of their numbers earlier, and left a message. Two or three minutes later, somebody potted-up some audio for a couple of seconds, then back to silence.
Right now, 730 is silent (with carrier), 1640 is silent (with carrier and TOH ID and newscast) and 95.7 is silent (with carrier). Anyone still make silence sensors?

The audio level on KSVN 730 is back to normal as of 6:15 PM, but the programming airing on the 99.9 FM translator definitely isn't the same as what's airing on the AM. It could be that the FM programming is out of sync with the AM because 730 was on the air with an open carrier for the past several days. Moreover, I'm not convinced that the AM station is operating with its FCC approved 66 watts nighttime power. The signal seems too strong for that low of wattage, although it's possible 730 has authority to broadcast at 1 kW during critical hours.

Looks like they are running on the night power (66 watts). They should switch to low at 5:00 PM MST, and day power at 7:45 AM, in the month of December. The don't have an authorization for Critical Hours, or any Pre-sunrise or Post-sunset. Glad they are back...I was getting worried. Hope Alex is doing well!

Ken, I'm not sure what you mean by "secondary audio." Channel 25.3 runs what I think at least used to be the audio for KSVN 730/99.9 along with the music video for the song. It's IDed as "KSVN-FM" and is just the regular primary audio and video just like any other channel.
