Due to the fees associated with streaming as an online only broadcaster, apparently. From Chet Tapp: It is with a heavy heart I must tell you we will be ceasing KCQN operations as of Sunday night at 7pm. The goal of this project was and always has been to secure a broadcast signal for KCQN and a home for all of you. I should mention that there is interest from someone out there who does own a signal and who is looking into the feasibility of putting KCQN on it. So all hope is not lost! I will of course continue to work on securing a broadcast signal and will keep you up to date on any progress I make by posting it here. On your end you CAN help the cause by filling out a quick KCQN Listener Questionnaire so that I might be able to use the info to help convince a prospective signal owner that a station like KCQN is needed along the Wasatch Front. If you could please fill out the KCQN Listener Questionnaire here: docs.google.com/forms/d/1qLCdV468xqREvT-B7pVl8PX_9AFG07ZANaD-EOPO_1Q/viewformIt could go a long way in helping us find a home for KCQN on the radio dial. So PLEASE share this with all of your fellow New Wavers out there! A big thanks to all the listeners out there who accidentally stumbled across us and to everyone that had ANYTHING to do with KCQN. Hopefully we will be back to help you continue to stay alive in ’85!
