Latino 106.3 is running liners indicating they will "soon be on 106.1" about every 2nd song or so. Also, noticed the music is DJ free. Is that something related to the changeover? The format was created in Sacramento's cluster and sent out to Adelante stations from what I can gather.

Are you sure it isn't the other way around? KBMG is currently on 106.1 and will be moving to 106.3 sometime before KNRS-FM moves Oct 8.
The station is now owned by Alpha. I guess this answers the question about whether they will be flipping the format.

And it's happened.
Around 5AM this morning I was getting as weak signal on 106.1, so I'm guessing the Bountiful booster was offline. Everything from here in Davis County appears up and running on 106.3 now.
And the waiting for KNRS-FM starts as we count down to Oct 8.
