Sunny 103.1 KSQN Coalville flipped Saturday (Nov 1st) at midnight to all Christmas. Same safe Christmas music selection of 50-70 songs... I wish someone would grow some cojones and mix it up a little more....

Good move for Sunny. Now you've got to ADVERTISE. Anyone seen any ads for them recently?

I'm really surprised that KSQN beat KLGN (1390 AM) to the punch this year . . . usually KLGN is the first station to flip to a Christmas music format. From what I know, KLGN didn't flip until Monday morning. I probably missed KSQN's flip on Saturday because the power was off at my house for three hours, and I was using the lack of RFI noise as an excuse to do some AM DX'ing with my new Sangean S450DLX. It's an amazing radio for long distance AM reception, especially if you're on a tight budget! I've seen open box units sell for less that $40.00 on eBay. But that's a topic for another thread. For what it's worth, Comcast's Sounds of the Seasons Music Choice channel flipped to Christmas music Monday morning as well, but I guess that's more suited to the TV forums, eh? Oh, I wouldn't be surprised to see ads for 103.1 promoting their format flip on UTA buses any day now.
