Hello all - it's been a while since I posted but wanted to get the word out before another great station goes down the drain. As most of you here know I am in Evanston, WY and have worked for KEVA - AM Stereo 1240 for 23 years. Well, it's for sale. If the owner can't sell it, she will shut it off. And from what I've heard she's not allowing much time for it to be sold. Don't know if there are any interested parties....I DO know that some of the ownership/management of stations there in Utah DO lurk on this board. Hoping to hear from some that might be interested in buying. It's a great little station with good listenership and a niche format in this market. It could do great and make lots more money than it is.....it just needs someone that's a true blue believer in radio and not a cluster that'll throw a talk format on it and ignore it. This is a small town and yes people in Evanston still listen to muisc on AM here. KEVA celebrated 60 years on the air this year. Sure would be a sad thing to see a legacy go down the tubes. I believe the asking price is about $150,000 but I believe she may take a little less. Please call 307-789-9101 for more information. Please spread the word to anyone you can think of that might be interested. Thanks! Michael n Wyo

That sounds awful. Best of luck to you and everyone else at KEVA. From what you've said about it over the years it sounds like a nice station. I hope it works out. I'd take a look at it if I had a few hundred thousand lying around looking for a home. Unfortunately I don't.

Thanks, CA....I might consider buying it as well if I had a few hundred thousand lying around but alas, I don't. I'll just have to keep making those trips to Idaho every 5 weeks for my lotto tix
