Just another pirate that the FCC won't do anything about.

They were there for a long time, rebroadcasting some kind of internet feed. I haven't heard them for about a year or more.

Anyone knows where is this radio station or antenna located? Braxton, "pirate" radio stations are broadcasting illegally without a license from the government. They don't want to be found. However, engineers can follow some sort of equipment to find the signals if someone issues a complaint to the FCC.

A lot of broadcasters have directional finding equipment too. Actually doing anything about the pirate once you find them is a different matter.

I wouldn't make that assumption. If this is the same pirate I'm thinking of, I could hear them all the way from West Valley to North Salt Lake.

There's at least one completely different pirate in Davis County also on 99.9, so they may not be the same one.

If we're lucky somebody took care of them, but I wouldn't count on it. Many pirates have no sense of a schedule.

It wasn't me I moved out of SLC in 2010, and took my pirate radio station with me . I recall hearing a similar station right by Best Buy in Millcreek (or is it Murray) across from the Hospital. I also remember NRK FM 95.7 FM and have a recording of it on my website.

I see the winkie, but as I recall you were legal under Part 15. The various 99.9 pirates can be heard for a dozen miles or more. That's way over power for unlicensed operation.
