Just tuned into 96.7 here in Murray. It seems it's now re-broadcasting either KWCR (Weber State's Student-Run station) or KPGR (Pleasant Grove High's Student-run station.) I distinctly remember this frequency re-translating KWCR ~6 or 7 years ago (I was moving into my current residence and was able to pick it up on one of my then-current clock radios), but they switched over to KSOP a short time later. I actually like this move a lot. I don't know why the Salt Lake Valley doesn't have a College format station listenable across the whole valley. K-UTE isn't listenable once you get about a block away from The U. Will be nice to be able to tune in when KRCL isn't doing their Music like they do every weekday from ~6 until ~8. EDIT (2:57 PM): Heard a DJ say it's KPGR. Trying to call them up results in a 'number is incorrect phone message. Grr...

I'm in Murray too. I can just barely pick up KPGR on 96.7 by moving my antenna around. A stronger signal on that same frequency here is Kix 96 (KKEX 96.7 Preston/Logan). I used to hear KSOP on this frequency with a much stronger signal.
I wish we could hear KUSU here in the SL valley.

cjs, are you sure you mean K244AO? That's up near Bear Lake with 12 watts. I think you mean K244DH, which is up at Farnsworth and used to translate KUSU before KNKL came on the air.
I always thought running KSOP on K244DH was a waste, but my opinion is that it's just there to take up space so nobody else encroaches on the signal of KQMB Star 96.7 which is owned by the same company. They probably don't care what's on there as long as it's on the air.

I wish we could hear KUSU here in the SL valley. If you have a sensitive tuner (I use the Sony XDR-F1HD.) and a good antenna, you should be able to. cjs, are you sure you mean K244AO? That's up near Bear Lake with 12 watts. I think you mean K244DH, which is up at Farnsworth and used to translate KUSU before KNKL came on the air. Thanks for that correction. When trying to look for a 96.7 station on Radio Locator, that's the only one I could locate that wasn't 'Star'. Also, it seems the signal was much stronger last night. Now it's way more scratchy. Odd. Found this too. FCCInfo
