Here's the executive summary for this month: KSL up, My 99.5 down, KBYU up, U92 down, and Alt 94.9 down.
KLO is down (percentage wise) from really bad to really really bad. Sorry guys but you've GOT to be doing better than barely moving the Nielsen needle even with a rimshot station. The ratings have gone absolutely nowhere since adding 103.1 KLO-FM. It's time to declare that experiment a failure and do something else with the FM. Here's an idea I'm going to give you free of charge. Run a loop directing people back to 1430 for a few days on KLO-FM, then flip to Christmas 103.1 KOSY is gone and I don't think Rock 106.5 is going to be doing traditional Christmas this year. FM100(.3) certainly is, and maybe someone else will jump in there, but that's uncertain. (The B needs help, so it's not a bad idea for them either BTW.) Draw people to the 103.1 frequency and take the next month and a half to figure out what you're going to do going into 2014, then promote the daylights out of it for the last 2 weeks leading up to Christmas and hope people stay tuned after Christmas is over.
KKAT was almost gone this month. They barely showed. OK, maybe having clearance in the market for all the syndicated Cumulus shows is worth it to them, but how much are 5 people listening worth? I'm not all that surprised that the station isn't doing well. Nothing local, 100% syndicated, and second tier syndicated programming at that. (KLO has a lot of the same problem.) On the bright side, KKAT had much better ratings than its neighbor up the dial KWDZ which is completely off the air.
