4.2 is running ME-TV out of Chicago. Whether this is full time is unclear, but personally I like it. They're running Mission:Impossible right now.

Sounds like the whole Cool TV network is dark wherever there was a Newport station. Maybe Nexstar don't want to carry it? Also it sounds like ME TV might be permanent from some of the internet sources? Hey it's from the internet so it has to be true right!! From Cool TV..... THECOOLTV Some of our contracts have expired and we are working to get back on the air. Only a few markets were affected. Call your local TV providers and tell them you want THECOOLTV. Watch on smart phones or tablets by going to thecooltv.com (with smart phone/tablet) and click "YES" to watch using our app. Watch live performances here: www.thecooltv.com/live.php

Article on the change. www.tvnewscheck.com/article/61147/metv-adds-salt-lake-city-tulsa-syracuseI'm excited about ME-TV. It looks like they have quite a few shows that I'll enjoy (Star Trek, Twilight Zone, Mission Impossible, Hogans Heroes, Batman, etc.) I loved listening to The Cool TV. I checked 30.2 and it still has The Country Network. I was hoping that the Cool TV could have been moved to 4.3 or 30.3.

If I understood it correctly, the version of TheCoolTV that was on the air in each market was actually run and customized by the local station. Therefore the national website feed wouldn't be exactly the same. I could be wrong about that though.
Speaking strictly from a personal view, I'll definitely watch more MeTV than I did of TheCoolTV, so that's a win for me. The bandwidth is still a problem though. I've got to be honest, I don't see the point of the duplicate feed of KUCW airing on KTVX 4.30. Yes it comes in handy when the KUCW transmitter goes on the fritz, but that's a very rare occurrence. They would be better off reallocating that bandwidth to 4.2 and making it a really good picture without all the artifacts. I do realize that KTVX runs at more than twice the power, but the difference in real world coverage is minimal, and that's in the fringes (like Logan and Nephi).
