KUTR was "Women's Talk" at the beginning. It went LDS Music for a time, while looking for a new owner.
I'd like to see a split where KSL-AM (or, if we could have kept them, KUTR) runs a format of "Breaking News Only"....call it "K___: The Desk". Have a couple of anchors/assignment desk editors, who do nothing but keep us updated with everything that's happening. A continuous stream of news, with commercial and promo interruptions limited to no more than 15 or 30 seconds each. Let "The Desk" promote/point-us-to more in depth stories over on the main channel. Sort of a radio version of the TV bottom-of-the-screen news ticker.

You're quite right on the KUTR timeline. I did a little checking and it went like this:
around May 2005: KUTR signs on with the talk for women format July 3 2006: The talk format is dropped for the all the time Soft Sunday Sounds format around May 2008: KUTR is sold to Julie Epperson who still owns it.
