Looks like the e-skip and tropo-ducting was pretty good Saturday.
I was seeing Mexican TV coming in on all of the low-band TV channels. When I started seeing consistent channel 6 TV, I went hunting for a good 2-way splitter, and hooked up the radio.
Had Spanish language stations on about half of the non-local frequencies, and even got XHCTC (99.9 MHz), Ciudad, Cuauhtemoc....WITH RDS DISPLAY.
I wonder what tonight will bring? ;D

I'd put a buck and a half on the remnants of Alex having something to do with it. Did you get anything on Sunday?

I got some TV on channel 2, but not much at all on the higher channels.
Somebody had the Satellite Radio transmitter on 99.9 all evening, so I didn't hear anything but some odd format of Smooth Jazz/Salsa. Who said those satrad transmitters are "too weak"?

Depends on the brand. I made the mistake of buying a Belkin digital model at Wally World. (I hate Belkin and I was having second, third and fourth thoughts as I was standing in line, but that was the best they had and I was a bit desperate.) The damn thing could barely be heard sitting right on top of the radio antenna. Move it a foot away and it disappeared. That didn't last long.
