Anyone hearing a strange noise on 1680 KHz? I was getting a fuuny sounding mix of tones and such, all the way in to work. It was still there with the engine off, but got much weaker as I drove in to the parking garage at Triad.

I noticed this too up in Ogden, as I was tracking down a travelers info station the other day at work. Mine sounded like a constant tone with light talking underneath. I bet its a conspiracy interference... or one of our local stations off frequency a bit. Me thinks 1660! They seem to be having transmitter problems lately anyway.

If you're looking for the TIS at 1680, it's WQFG871 from Clearfield. Specifically at 497 S Main St (a gov't building) if you want to get up close and personal.  They've had some weird things on that station in the past, so it might just be something screwed up. |
