Tonight I am hearing oldies on 104.9 (with a bad hum) and confirming I hear cool 103.9 oldies.
What am I hearing? Note, my antenna is pointing south, but this could be coming off the back of the antenna. Whatever it is, it is peaking at 2 bars on my Sony, which means it is strong.
I'm thinking: K285GC 104.9 Laketown, Utah which is listed as a translator of KKEX.
Can someone up that way confirm this? Tonight must be a night for tropo too because 99.9 The Buzz (KZDX) from Idaho is coming in clear without MiloFM on at the moment (I turned it off on purpose). Stations from central Utah are making their way north too, 97.7 KCYQ is clear as a bell and 93.7 KLGL is making it up here barely.

I'm in Murray. My antenna is pointing west, toward the Oquirrhs, and I hear "cool oldies" on 104.9 and on 107.3. I'm also hearing 92.9 in Logan with a clear signal. It's usually fuzzy. I'm wondering whether the smoggy weather may somehow be aiding the signals.
While scanning, I also note that 99.5 HD2 is off the air while their translator on 99.1 is still carrying 570's programming. I'm shocked I tell you. I'm shocked.

So I'm guessing not only is 103.9 heard on 96.7 HD2 and a few other translators but now a new one!

K285GC does throw a decent amount of power southward from the Tremonton area, so that makes sense as the source. It wasn't throwing nearly as much southward, but they recently got approved for a minor change that opened up the pattern southward noticeably. 103.9 can use all the help they can get given the relatively poor signal and how badly it gets hammered toward the south.
Terry, I'm impressed that you could get a readable signal off 107.3 with 107.5 much closer. Is there a lot of bleed over?
As far as 99.1 still being on air with Freedom's programming, that's probably legal. It's a fill-in translator, so it doesn't have to be fed off-air from the primary. It's probably listed as fed by an alternate means on the license.

I get 107.3 very very weak on only one radio in my arsenal, and that's only when the antenna is pointed directly at it.
In other DX notes, 96.7 is weaker than normal, while 95.9 from Preston is clear as day with HD and all coming in at my location. Thanks for confirming K285GC CA.

I get a fuzzy signal on 107.3 with no bleed over from 107.5. I assume that 107.5 is still on Lake Mountain, so their signal hits at 90 degrees from the front of my yagi. As Ken English mentioned, it looks like 104.9 has moved. Radio Locator shows it with a CP for the same location as 107.3, which is also very near 106.9, NW of Tremonton. It must be line-of-sight over the lake to me. I just ran out to my car and checked the signals. I'm getting both 104.9 and 107.3 with a fuzzy signal there too.

Anyone know why 96.7 has been extremely weak lately compared to KLZX (95.9)?
I wonder if the booster is off air or either the main or booster is having problems. 96.7 HD-2 is 103.9, one of the only ways I can hear it down here clear.
Edit: As far as I know, KKAT is still on Lake Mountain. I imagine they won't move it to Farnsworth until the warmer months. On my Sony XDR-F1HD, the best radio I have, KKAT doesn't bleed onto 107.3. I am a bit in the shadow of point of the mountain too so that helps.

KKAT can't move until KEGH and KUDD move. I'm not sure if there's anything that needs to happen before those two can move. It's rather complicated.

I still say we don't need any more stations in Salt Lake City. I can barely DX FM at the current state.

I have a feeling 104.9 is running with more power then they mention. Right now it is strong as heck here in South Salt Lake City, but it still has a hum and sounds what sounds like booster interference.
