Hoping someone in here still works in the biz. Will be fascinating to see what's happening.
Obviously cume for all stations is up - the questions are: a) Will Bonneville hold on to that dominant 35+ crown (KSL, FM100, Arrow)?
b) Will "Freedom" and "105.7" both have strong audiences?
c) Where will Spanish-language stations lie? No more calls to remember to write down.
d) How will news-talk do overall?
e) How will KCPW do? They've been having some solid diary returns the past few surveys.
Edit: Salt Lake City data comes out Friday at noon. Our October data came out today so I let myself get caught up in the hype. Arbitron's site will likely post some sort of PPT with the basic 12+ number on a slide... if we're lucky.

Hey, if anybody gets the numbers, can they PM them to me? Simply for sheer, undying curiosity.
Thanks!

I would definitely not count on seeing any numbers until the next book. Arbitron seems annoyed at this market. I hope I'll be pleasantly surprised but.....

Ok, so they did put up the PowerPoint (YAY!). Some surprises... but I'm not sure if they're right. I never fully trust Arbitron. Hell, they encoded something called "KALL-FM" by mistake.
The survey only covers Salt Lake - Davis - Weber - Utah and Tooele counties. Salt Lake County makes up about 1/2 of the sample (and metro) size.
Capital Broadcasting (KBZN, KLO) and Simmons Media both dropped out as subscribers. Simmons can no longer sell any of its stations using Arbitron data. Have they done this with diaries? Maybe that's why the 12+ monthlies have been embargoed?
As we already knew: KSOP Inc. does not subscribe KBYU does not subscribe (thus being left out of RRC data) KDYL does not subscribe Some stations on the fringe of the metro ended up showing in the survey - mostly those with translators in Utah County although KBMG 106.1 is considered "out" of metro for Arbitron.

Please don't. That will get The Suits upset.

Boo! Do it anyway! Give the people what they want! If not, just send me a PM. I am dying to see those numbers.

Word on the street ... KSL tops, KUBL slips. KNRS falls a lot. That's all I've heard.

It looks like Arbitron is giving away the cume data in that PDF, but not the actual rating itself. Still, better than nothing.

The only reference I'm seeing to KALL-FM is on page 21 where they said it's a paperwork error. Is that different from what you all were seeing earlier or did I miss a reference or something? From that note it sounds like someone just plugged in an -FM where an -AM should have been on the encoder. Or maybe there's a wormhole and some people were listening to 1993.

Thanks for finding the link before I could get back, henry. It appears in SLC some things never change. However, I would point out that this panel had some issues getting 100 DDI (what Arbitron considers sufficient data) for younger demos, so that may have hurt U92 or X96 (although, imho, X96 would skew older for R.F.H. and its daytime music selections) for example.
Sadly, the same pattern of cume falling for NPR affiliates proved true as both KUER and KCPW saw drops. However, in our market, KUOW is back up to a more stable, strong level after 5 surveys - so as the panel stabilizes and turns over, we can hope that's true in Utah too. KRCL also took a drop, which doesn't make a lot of sense for a music-focused public broadcaster.
Edit: X96 did very well in 18-34 so that's a good start. Hopefully it continues. :-)

According to that thing The Mix is in the top 5.
Nights is not a good place to be, Middays... afternoons... mornings are the time slots to be in.
