Here I was worried about Tropo not being able to be received in the valley and long behold, yesterday at work I received KCYQ driving north from Provo. KCYQ is a 43kw country station from Elsinore, Utah, in the middle of the state. I've checked the distance: 142 miles. The HAAT is 2884 feet. It may not be tropo like I hope, but we'll never know

When KCYQ was at 93.7 I used to pick it up faintly but regularly in Davis County along US89. KLGL on 93.7 now is a little easier. The biggest obstacle for the current KCYQ I would think would be splatter from KZZQ on one side and KBZN on the other. There would have to be a pretty good amount if signal to cut through that, no?

It was strong all the way from Orem to about Point of the Mountain.
