I ran it by ChatGPT and got Maximum Radio Intensity, among a lot of bad options.
Also: Kinetic Motion Radio Intelligence.

You guys are pretty good, and I love the creativity in lieu of the call letters. We bounced the idea around at the very outset of the project; however, we decided (at least for the time being) to stay with the KMRI call letters. This could change down the road, but we eventually concluded that with all of the major things we needed to get done in launching the station and getting it ready for air, that call letters was something of a lesser priority...again, for now at this time. Feel free to keep sending us out ideas and strategies as we enter the final leg of dragging this thing across the finish line. Thank you all!

There is no intelligence in today's "AI". This nonsense just confirms that.
I agree with Dino. With a project this big there are way more important things to worry about than the callsign. If an idea were to hit someone over the head like a 2x4, go for it. Otherwise, only radio geeks likely care. The average listener doesn't even know the callsign of most of the stations they listen to.
It should be mentioned that current owner Barry Wood apparently did have a new callsign in mind when he acquired the station. The dba (doing business as) company that owns the license is named 'KRGO LLC'. At the time the callsign KRGO was available, but now it's held by a construction permit for a religious non-comm in Seminole Texas. 1550 had the KRGO callsign from 1968 to 1986 and then again briefly from 1997 to 1998. It also had the related KRGQ callsign from 1992 to 1997, and curiously that callsign is currently on a different non-comm construction permit owned by the same church that owns KRGO.

On the careers page of slcsportsradio.com, there was a posting for an office manager. That posting appears no longer to be there so I wonder if that position has been filled.

Is the replacement tower up now? I was told the materials were on site a few weeks ago, ready to start the install. Curious if someone was working on it Sunday morning, because the highway patrol had reports of shooting in the area, which they figured were from the firing range across the freeway. But, since the noises were abnormally loud, I wondered if they were coming from some work up on the hill, at the towers, which would have made it more noticeable.

Where is the studio going to be located? FWIW the only microwave link I can find on file is the old WPTY315 that goes from the Telemundo offices at 314 S Redwood Road to the transmitter.

Correct. The old tower was 250 feet and the new one is 190 according to FCC records.

I wonder why the difference in height, and what effect will it have on the signals of both stations. Where's Mario Heeb nowadays? He built that combined site, originally.

Correct, the new tower is 190 feet tall. Yes, the tower has been constructed - there are many pictures of the tower's actual arrival and construction on my twitter feed: @thisisdinocosta There are still several things that need to be shored up at the tower and those things are ongoing. Air date still to be determined. The jobs currently available are on the website: slcsportsradio.com/The studio location has yet to be finalized.

You guys are more than deserving of an update since it's been a while since I posted anything. In relation to the last inquiry, yes, we do have plans for the broadcasting of games, which games those will be is undetermined at this point, but we are definitely interested in the high school football scene throughout Utah, and we'll explore any and all opportunities in that area. Another announcement concerning exclusive media rights will be made soon enough - perhaps in the next 2-3 days ahead. Our phaser box at the tower was torn apart by copper thieves over the last few years after the earthquake hit that brought down the tower - many of the pieces that are needed to run that box at 100% capacity are finding difficult to locate - we've located many of them - but still need to acquire a few more. We have chosen our imaging director - and I love the fact that he's here in SLC and will provide us with some cutting-edge stuff when we hit the air shortly. Our office/studio location has been secured although I am not at liberty at this time to give more details on that end. We also believe we have chosen a person who will be running the board, producing, and working on a bevy of issues related to keeping track of logs, etc. So, what I can tell you is we are close - really close, and field-testing patters will commence this week hopefully. What I can also reveal is that it is my desire to begin airing content as soon as possible, even if it means our set up is not 100% completed. So, allow me to throw this out there, the station may come out of the gates at first with a streaming-only situation exclusively. I'd prefer not to do that, but I've been here for 16-months now and I want to get something on the air asap and if that means a week or two of just being able to stream the station, I'll take that instead of nothing at all for the time being. We're close - closer than ever before, but much of the delays are things out of our control for the most part. But SLC Sports Radio is really on the verge of introducing this new signal to the region and we're getting more enthused by the day as we move closer to dragging this LONG ordeal across the finish line. Thanks to all who are paying attention to our project, we look forward to talking to you all very soon! 801-750-0492 Attachments:

I don't know if you can comment on this Dino but is there any non-documented communication going on between your end and the FCC? I ask because the last license renewal application was filed back in Feb 2023 and would normally have been decided by now. I'm wondering if they're holding off on making a decision based on updates that aren't being noted in the official FCC files.
