I've been pondering for a long time how we might be able to re-enable posting by people who choose for some reason to not register. There's no doubt in my mind that simply turning on guest posting access again like we had when we started would result in the board being vandalized again. That I do not want. Ideally what I'd like to do would be to require any guest posts to be approved by me before they became public, but unfortunately that option is not available at the moment as far as I know. I'd like to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

I think this board is picking up the momentum and we don't need to do that. People shouldn't fear registering... make up some stupid name like "utahjazzlover" and voice you opinion.

And add the incentive that CA doesn't want to run this board to the ground thankfully and you've got another reason to register

Thanks for the vote of encouragement. There is a bit more to it than simply signing up though. I do need to approve new applications, and that can take some time. I guess it could also be said that if you're not still interested in whatever you wanted to say a day later then maybe it's better you don't say it. Thing is, I know there are more people who read the board than are posting. Some are bots, but a lot aren't. I'm just trying to figure out how to allow more people to voice opinions, especially if they're afraid of retribution from the companies they work for. I won't release any information given to me privately, but I can't say the same for Proboards. I don't think they would respond to a casual query, but I can't be sure. I know there are alternatives, but not everyone knows about them and they can be a real pain in the neck.
