I think it's interesting how TV and radio have different standards around the country and across borders. For example, I never heard a curse word in Utah anywhere that I can recall (I wasn't a heavy K-Bear listener... but Bob & Tom aren't in the market, after all).
Here you can hear all kinds of taking "The Lord's" name in vain, occasional drops of an s- or f-bomb in a song... it just surprises me.
Here we also get CBC television, which seems to have more relaxed standards than U.S. Networks. I know, for example, that the s-bomb is okay in some late night programming and if in a news broadcast (ie. a quote from an angry person), but that would not be true here.
Another thing is how content is censored for later broadcast... cable is not held to "broadcast decency" standards but Kathy Griffin made a slip up on CNN and it was cut for the west coast replay.
