KSL-TV is 72 years old today

First broadcast in 1949, from the old Union Pacific Building, south of Temple Square.
The first Operating Log is still on Farnsworth Peak. They took readings every 30 minutes. Once a week, they logged every parameter... I think there were 36 tubes in the rig.

I thought about asking if Promotions might be interested in shooting a few seconds of video of it, to make a legal ID, but couldn't get hold of anyone.
All the old logs were in "Law Library" style binders, and sealed in bags in boxes, but mice had gotten in to most of them, so all but one or two books were thrown away. Too much of a health hazard, and fire hazard.
