It sounds like KDYL is still broadcasting with the old Continental 10 kW transmitter, and it clearly needs some fine tuning. I noticed the low rumbling off frequency HUMMM is still present after dark when KDYL's signal mixes with CKMX and the other stations on 1060 which propagate into Utah after sunset. At least KDYL powered down around 8:30 PM Friday night, so some of the technical difficulties with the transmitter appear to be fixed.

They were still on night power late this morning, but are back up now. I wonder if they are using the engineer I recommended.

They were still on night power late this morning, but are back up now. I wonder if they are using the engineer I recommended. Ken, did you ever find out who owns the KDYL tower, and whether or not the tower lights are currently illuminated at night so the tower isn't a hazard to aircraft?

Well, that didn't last long! 1060 is silent again this morning, so apparently the old Continental transmitter still needs some work before KDYL returns to the air full time.
