I say shut em' down and run some infomercials. To bad because they could do what KUTV does with KJZZ and start running news programs on channel 30 (not sure of call sign)
Terry Wood will land somewhere I'd even think he'd be great doing the 5 news on 13...They should go for him that will maybe help out KSTU in ratings

I think we all saw this coming. Clear Channel squeezed KTVX dry, and suckered similar owners into buying them out. Now High Plains is trying to do the same thing, but finding very little juice left in the orange.
I talked with an associate producer at KTVX and they told me they have to let them go at the end of the year because of budget cuts. After that there will be no associate producers starting January 1st.
You CAN'T run a news format if you have no producers to type the news.
The station is royally .... well, you can finish that phrase.

I've noticed that KTVX-DT's signal has been total crap for the past few days. I'm sure in reality it's unrelated, but it would be fun to say that they can't even keep the transmitter at full power. (My real guess is that it's icing in the broadcast antenna that's forcing them to lower power so the transmitter doesn't burn out.)
