Imagine you've just bought a radio station. You're going to do some stunting before launching your real format. What stunts would you do? The only restriction is that it can't be anything in violation of FCC regulations. Other than that, the crazier the better. This is just for fun so go for it. Here are a couple of mine.
Fiero Radio: "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers on endless loop. A nod to Marshall's car on "How I Met Your Mother."
Pepper Radio: The run-out groove from The Beatles "Sgt. Pepper", which is already a loop, running an hour at a time only interrupted by a legal ID.
Now yours.

Depends on what you plan for the new format.... Many years ago, I subscribed to a service called "American AirChexx". My favorite was a station that played like they were going silent soon. They kept up the mantra that they were soon to be "a thing of the past". They reminisced about past events, interviewed former staff...almost morbidly. On the fatal date, they said their goodbyes, read the sign-off announcement, played the National Anthem, and ran a sound effect of the signal fading to noise. A few moments later, they slowly brought up a feeble beeping sound through the static. Then, full force, "The NEW Oldies ##.#, A thing of the Past". It still gives me chills to think about it!
