Anyone close to Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, who can monitor the FM audio transmission for the "Light the RioT" program the next few nights?
I'm curious what frequency they are using, and what kind of power levels are commonly being used for these types of events...Drive-in churches, movies, Christmas light displays, etc. Everyone needs to be careful not to step on licensed stations. There are really no FM channels in the SLC area that are not occupied by licensed full-power, low-power, booster or translator stations, or are first-adjacent to same. We already have a high-powered pirate on 95.7 MHz. Definitely not a Part 15 operation.

I don't know the answer and they're being very cagey about it, but I can always speculate. Right now there IS a good frequency available if I'm not mistaken. 96.7 is currently free of any meaningful interference. They also have the option of turning off KALL's 92.1 translator or X96's 95.9 translator for a few nights. I don't think too many people would miss them. 95.9 could even be "fed" from a subchannel just as is. If it really came down to it they could sandwich a transmitter on 96.1 or 105.3 between two stations they own. Personally I'd go with 96.7 with 92.1 as a backup.
