I can see, or rather hear... that KWLO has changed formats from country to oldies. I’m over in Laramie Wyoming about 325 miles and have been getting a decent signal at times from the station at night. Took awhile to figure out who it was since directories, sites and etc still list it as country For what it’s worth, I have a GIANT loop antenna and an Icom IC746PRO radio. Paul That's some incredible DXing, especially since we're on the same frequency as a powerhouse out of AZ. I'd love to see a pic of the antenna. We're also streaming at utahsgoat.com if it makes it any easier

The wire runs from pvc pipe tp pvc pipe, down each side and then along the ground to an amp/control head in the middle. It's a magnetic loop that is 25 feet long and 10 feet tall.

We're also streaming at utahsgoat.com if it makes it any easier The Arizona station was all I could pick up yesterday evening, but the FM translator came in great in Lehi. Lost it at the Point of the Mountain. A broad spectrum Oldies format sounds great. I am stuck at home today (in West Jordan) so I will listen to the stream. Thanks. Feel free to send along any feedback. The translator drops by point of the mountain by design as there is a CP for another 99.9 north of point of the mountain plus an LPFM on that frequency in downtown Salt Lake. The AM should go farther once we fix some problems we're having with the diplexer.

I love the idea of the speaker stands. They are built to be both very stable with a heavy top weight and are completely portable. What's the farthest away station you've picked up?

I've been fascinated by DXing since I was working at an AM station 20 years ago and we got a letter from a guy who was picking us up from Canada with a long wire, but I've never tried it myself. Hopefully someday. Thanks for being willing to answer my questions.

Hey Frank -
Glad to see you are keeping Bob's dream alive. I was one of your board ops back in 2004 (my real name isn't Henry). K-Star was my first job in radio (worked in the business for 12 years).
I look forward to hearing the stations again next time I'm up in Utah.

Does your UNLV email address still work? If not, shoot me a PM.
