I wouldn't think the Frandsen group would be fond of having one of their LMA's taking up residence in their sandbox. My guess is that KACH declines to renew their contract, leaving Cache Valley without a game signal. Then maybe one of the many other groups in Cache Valley could compete for it.

The curious nature of the situation makes me wonder, if you would like to pursue a contract awarded to a nearby radio station, after losing that contract for whatever reason, what if you were to loan money to or buy that station for a business colleague, and have a confidential agreement to cancel the contract. If you were to "buy" your competitors for a business partner, who might just have been awarded regional contracts that you want, and you have the money, why not buy them for your business partner, or loan the money, or forgive some debt? I just know that early on KADQ and KNYN were facing some monetary challenges, but if they all of a sudden came up with nearly a quarter mil to buy a station close enough to their boss (LMA owner) and felt compelled to compete with them, in essence, then congratulations to Val, and those are some big co-hones if his idea. Not saying that's whats going on there, just "musing".
