This article was posted on KSL's web site yesterday, and I thought the antique radio collectors and old time radio radio fans on the board would find it interesting. If you already have an antique radio (or several, as I do!) and want a little nostalgic trip down Memory Lane, KLO 1430 AM broadcasts vintage radio programs from the golden age of radio Saturdays & Sundays from 7 PM-Midnight. (The start time may be delayed on Saturdays because of Weber State Basketball on KLO.) KSL AM/FM also airs When Radio Was on the weekends from 1 AM-5 AM if you're an insomniac or a shift worker like me. Cheers! www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=38323323&nid=1012&title=west-valley-man-brings-antique-radios-back-to-life&s_cid=queue-9

I haven't listened to WRW for a long time now, but are they still using the same theme that they'd been using for decades? Anyone happen to know what library that comes from? I have a long history with it.

I have a long history with it. CA, the format of When Radio Was is still basically the same as it was in the 1990's and early 2000's when Stan Freberg was hosting the show, except that the current host is Greg Bell. I'm not sure if the "library" you're referring to is their catalog of old time radio programs on CD, but they have many offerings for sale at their web site here: whenradiowas.com/

By "theme" I meant the music bed that was used under Freberg when he was introducing the program. I've attached the audio from a commercial spot that uses the same bed. GreccoNewConcept.mp3 (954.28 KB)
