Speaking of noisy, has anyone noticed that the 103.1 signal in Salt Lake has been weaker than usual for about a week. I don't notice it on a stationary radio or in the car, but when moving with a portable radio I get so much drop-out that it's now unlistenable. I've actually gone back to 1430. Maybe the SL booster is off air? The other Humpy stations sound normal.

I heard a station ID just now: "KSQN 103.1 Coalville and KLO 1430 Ogden". Still running the talk format.

And the FCC database still shows 103.1 as KLO-FM. How professional writers (Radio Info, All Access, etc.) can deal with this insanity all day every day and not go completely berserk amazes me.
Signal wise, I'm getting a lot of stereo hiss on 103.1 that doesn't seem to be on the other Humpy stations, and I'm in Davis County listening to the Bountiful booster. Maybe that's holding up the format flip. They can't have a weak signal that people are going to sample once then bail on because they can't hear it. That would be insane.

Were they ever broadcasting in mono for the simulcast? I remember listening when I thought he format was about to change and my tuner switched to stereo. I live in AF and my stereo is in the basement, so I dismissed it as just a reception issue I was experiencing. I thought the switch to stereo was hinting at the pending flip, at the time.

I don't think they ever went mono, but I wouldn't bet on it. My opinion is that the benefit is way overblown.
