I know you're talking about the running joke of these guys being "not professional sounding". That's the beauty of the whole thing...........
But, speaking of "sound", KMTI has some nice looking facilities, and (with a good receiver and antenna) they actually put a pretty nice sounding signal in to the Salt lake Valley, too. I've used a McKay-Dymek setup (tuner and antenna), and they were good in the day, and still very listenable at night, too.
