Oh my gosh, the world really IS ending! :-p
Hey, how come, when something that the Breaking News section was designed for comes along, like KOSY's sudden flip out of Christmas music early, to a whole new format...
...the system FAILS ME?
Despite its HUGELY BAD timing, I really wanted to know about this switchover so that I could have heard the format transition and record it! What happened?
Happy Christmas, though, Mike

The answer is pretty simple. I didn't tell you all about it beforehand because I didn't know about it beforehand. Contrary to what some might think, I very rarely get tipped to anything before the public finds out about it. Had I known (and been given permission to) I would have let everyone know. To put it another way, you guys knew about this before I did. It's very rare that there will be any updates from me before 9PM. I do have a full time job, and unfortunately this isn't it. (Anyone who would like to pay me to run this board, please drop me a line. ) I did post an update to the Breaking News thread, which I hope you got. Another thing to consider is that this isn't intended to be a news board. We certainly do cover news, but the meat of the board is the discussion ABOUT the news and other things happening around here. Also, to be fair All Access and RadioInfo still aren't reporting the story, and we had it before RadioInsight. Thanks to marchmountain for posting the alert.

Well, OK, then. I guess At least thanks for doing what you can do when you can do it. :-)
(I'm just crossing my fingers that the next time this kind of switch happens, I'll be lucky enough to catch it on a recorder.)
Yeah, even if March Mountain's posting had triggered a bookmark alert, it would have been too late for me to have heard the transition. But he of course doesn't have the "key" to your breaking news threads, anyway (being a newbie--or just... not being you, haha).
Okay, well have a very happy Christmas, WasinNJ! Mike
