Just checked the KLO vitals for the last year and a half.. and actually Jim Rome doesn't do well on KLO.. I would imagine it's an "environment" issue..

I wouldn't think KEGA would jump out of Country format for the unknown... KEGA, while a DISTANT Third audience-wise to KUBL and KSOP... it STILL usually does 100+ K billing every month.. some months better... AND the Monthly cume for the last month Nielsen would report a non-subscriber that doesn't do a week long 6 plus average quarter hour rating of 0.1 or better... was 92400... the best it ever did was 137700... and KEGA's August was 146100 and it has been over 160K this year... compare that to KSOP's August of 158700.
Yeah, I WOULD like to see a AAA format like Mountain on the air here and why not The Mountain? I would actually be a bit surprised if it doesn't pop up somewhere...

The MAIN thing that helps KSL numbers in the Fall and Spring ... IS... tada... Conference... nothing else even comes close... KSFI's Christmas numbers maybe do them even more good... but KSL's Steroid is confernece... ... KSL still has not found anything to make their 9a-3p even resemble their drive times... checking PPM's Vital signs... showed 1230-3p with an uptick in August... but generally speaking... going the wrong direction for the last couple of years... and Doug's replacement isn't fairing that good... Friday mornings are often as much as 50% stronger than Mon-Thur... I have ideas about a few things that aren't right there... some going back to before the election...

I thought 107.9 was going to carry what used to be on KBYU-FM... and KBYU-fm would be carrying the BYU-Radio content... if not that ... the other way around.. but yes... that BYU-Radio content over the air would conflict or at least compete with the broadcasts on KSL...
I think this already might be handled within the fact that BYU is handling the marketing and ad sales for the BYU broadcasts that last year were on KSL and BYU -Radio... so maybe it's a moot point...
I would guess they have come to an understanding of this...

No.. the Unrivals Sports thing at night is actually pretty good... and Dave and Debbie replacing Doug is old news (and is NOT working... kind of embarasing... not as annoying as Jay Macfarland.. but not working too good... ) no... this was from somebody with contacts in the building... just wondering if anybody had heard anything...

I subscribe to everything... NOT good.. 1230-3 is the lowest daypart.. duh J macdonald is terrible.. and M-Thur 9-noon is substantially lower than Friday... before the change. friday was usually the stronger.. but not the difference there is now.. Debbie is pretty good. but Dave just talks stuff to death... wheels ain't turning.. gears ain't connecting.. JMacdonald just seems to never stop being impressed with him actually getting spoon to mouth....he is SO annoying..

Anybody know what the story is??? THANKS!

You're right about the Humpy contour... right down middle of utah valley... cutting across Salt Lake Valley from Northwest to southeast corner... contour is actually east of i -15 below about 72nd south... back in the Diary days 84084 was the big zip with the most quarter hours returned... now it's like South Jordan and herriman... in UTC... Provo Zips had the biggest qtr hours a couple of years ago.. now last time I did a zip by zip extrapolation (laborius tedious lonnnnngggg process) Pleasant grove was the top returner... they are spread around... but some places do get over represented... it's the name of the game.. "meter meter who's got a meter"....

It's now all way on top of the mountain.. not half way up as it was at 105.3... the big deal is the Humpy Peak stations really have problems out in the South west part of Salt Lake Valley... where all the meters are... and actually there are some places in Utah county like Springville where the humpy boosters on Y mountain are shielded from (totally unlistenable by main street Springville) 105.5 sounds fine all the way up 400 south in Springville...
