The bacon company Carlson brothers’ KRSP 1060?
Or Howard Johnson’s KNAK 1280 (and more) spawning the Heber 1340?

For my peers, the shows on KNRS are pure poison for an audience under 40. All I can figure is they are REALLY serving the "old" (50+) crowd VERY well at the moment. Au contraire, there are plenty of intelligent, educated, informed people under 40. Admittedly many younger people sometimes take years of life experience and contemplation to clearly see the forces affecting their lives. This next election will be entertaining. I’m sure that’s part of why conservative media has recently gained more attention. “May you live in interesting times”. Oh, yeah.

Listening here in Murray, several stations seem to have no HD today: KUER 90.1, KXRX 96.3, KZHT 97.1, KUDD 105.1 and KKLV 107.5.

KUDD 105.1 is not broadcasting an HD signal today; therefore KOOL-FM on their HD2 is missing.

My point was that Mid-Utah doesn’t own anything with a coverage area that the FCC would allow their signal (HD or otherwise) to be broadcast from the location of their translator on 92.1.

FCC rules, if I'm not mistaken, don't allow a station's owned translator to broadcast that station's signal outside of that station's predicted 60 dB contour. That would preclude KKUT (Mid-Utah Radio) from putting a signal (KKUT HD1 KMGR "Classy FM" nor HD2 KQMB "The Goat") on 92.1 where currently located.
Am I wrong?
(I'd love to hear "Classy FM" on 92.1. It's currently my favorite music station)

KSL-AM HD sounds fine on my HDR-16, but with earphones the high frequencies sound a little over-emphasized.
On my HDR-14 KSL’s high frequencies sound a little over-emphasized, but with earphones the high frequencies are annoyingly over emphasized.
On my old Sony XDR-F1HD tuner KSL’s high frequencies are obviously over emphasized but not too annoying.
(KJJC 1230, not an HD station, has horrible distortion on the high audio frequencies. I just can’t listen to them at all.)
I’ve read that the Sangean HDR-14 and HDR-16 use the identical decoder chip, so maybe the difference is in the speakers.
I haven’t heard any other AM HD’s since 820 shut off their HD. I can get my display to show “HD” on several distant stations at night, but never lock in on an actual digital signal.
Parenthetically, KKLV 107.5 is now in HD with 3 programs. And KBEE 98.7 is no longer in HD.
KKUT 93.7 HD2 (carrying KMGR) is my favorite music station, (very mellow oldies) but I can only get their signal (from above Nephi somewhere) when in certain locations in my house and with certain antenna orientations. I can’t find a stream.
I listen more to 105.1 HD2 because they have a solid signal.

OK. Yep. They’re on the air.
For some reason both of my usual antennas quit receiving channel 16 starting maybe a week ago.
I was missing checking in on Newsy, 16.7.

Thanks CA.
No, I’m not trying to receive a translator. Maybe I’ll try moving my antennas a bit.

I've tried two different antennas and different TVs and I'm not getting a signal.

I’ve heard it too, that same old news and old Memorial Day weather, a week later. Bizarro World.
I love the music, but I thought I was the only one listening. How long can they afford to run a digital sub channel with no listeners?
Could they buy or LMA 98.3? It’s obviously been abandoned by KKLV and has never added anything to their coverage area anyway.

A few days ago when they came on with their improved signal, the audio was excellent. I did notice that it was a local program.
Today and yesterday the audio is lower quality and has a whistle in the background. It’s still much better than in weeks past, but not good enough for “prime time”.
