I've been noticing a very good signal at Midvale on 1480 lately. I thought it might be Gooding, Idaho, but it seems like it's really KHQN. But, it would be a lot easier to ID if they ran one at the top of the hour . Tried to e-mail them, but it kicked back. Anybody know who is their engineer?

Yep! That's the one I used. I'm not sure I've even heard a local commercial on there, either. Maybe it's all unattended, Sat-fed, and the local automation (if any) is locked up.

I find it nostalgic that KHQN has images of the program clocks on their websites. I remember not knowing how to read those at my first radio gig.

Is it just me or are the clocks a good way to know how long you can jump out during the commercials and make sure you aren't missing anything? That wouldn't seem to be a good idea for a radio station.....

Not for advertisers either. The listening public doesn't need to know when the commercial break is.
