Just wanted to start a topic to see what kind of phones (can they even be called that anymore??) people are using and how they like them or not... We can also discuss the bennies of different providers.
I've been a die-hard customer of Verizon for more than 10 years and can't ever see switching away. As bad as I wanted an iPhone, I couldn't see going to AT&T from what I've heard of their service and coverage.
My wife and I recently upgraded from regular LG Camera Phones to the HTC Droid Eris. This is our first experience with smartphones and while there's a bit of a learning curve, they are really impressive. Battery life is a joke compared to charging our old phones once a week! I love that I can now stream my station (see sig) on my phone and hook it into my car stereo (yes, standard headphone jack!) and drive around listening to all the hits!
Your turn! What do you use?

I'm extremely thrifty and have my phone as a $10/month addition to my brother's ATT family plan. I've never had a problem with ATT service. I have an el cheapo Nokia free with 2 year contract. I did discover that I can forward all of my email as text messages to my phone. I like getting my email instantly even when I'm wandering around. Oh, and I can listen to FM thru earphones and calls will interupt. Nice feature.
I had a Cricket phone for my wife, but she could not communicate from some places even in our neighborhood, so I've now gotten her onto the new Straight Talk service. The coverage is excellent because it actually uses the Verizon network. And for only $30 a month she gets 1000 minutes plus 1000 text messages plus 30MB of data.

I don't use my cell much, so a bare bones Virgin Mobile prepaid works just fine for me. It's under $7/month and a new phone costs $15. It's a good deal and I never have problems with the Sprint network.
