I don't know how many of you remember this, but there was a REAL variety station that was set to debut a few years ago before it got squashed by Corporate. It was going to take the Jack concept and bring it to a whole new level. The slogan went something like "The best variety of the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and today". I think utradioguide got an aircheck of the 2 minutes or so it was on the air before the plug got pulled. The suits were scared, I guess.
Anyway, I'm hearing that the brains behind that format are close to buying a Salt Lake signal and plan to launch soon. Maybe we could dig up the aircheck to see hat we have to look forward to?
"Larry?" What kind of signal processing stuff do you have in your rack? That aircheck sounded fantastic. Did you do that at home? And what programs did you use to create the special effects? Were they plug-in's?
