What does this mean for the Weather Channel. Will they only be exclusive on NBC stations or will they still be on a single channel. I've noticed that I haven't watched the Weather channel in months. That's probably because it hasn't rained here in months.
The article was saying that the big prize was the website, which makes sense. NBC/Universal has a lot of cable properties already, so I don't think there's an big deal in having another network. I'd imagine that the weather segments on MSNBC and during NBC News programming would acquire Weather Channel branding. I also figure that WeatherPlus will probably be rebranded as well in a way similar to Weatherscope that Comcast runs.
