Wow it's Now?
For years this station has been a New York Rock Landmark.. Howard Stern for years along with Rock Music then it tried to compete with Sirius when Howard went there as Free FM now it's flipping formats in a whole new direction Top 40.
Kinda hard to believe NY only had one Top 40 over these past few years.

Landmark? Not really. The ratings for K-Rock outside of Stern have been horrible. Without him, they tried the Free FM experiment which failed miserably. They tried to go back to K-Rock, which did just as badly. Considering that there are 3 rock stations in a town that can comfortably support 1, this isn't that hard to believe.
The landmark was the old 102.7 WNEW-FM. That died a slow and painful death about 10 years ago.
