As I suspected, KSL did have another spike this month, just like last year. It didn't go quite as high as 2018 but still a nice gain. If the pattern holds then the next report will show a decline again.
I'm not sure whether it qualifies as a "success" but Easy 99.1 certainly deserves some notice. It's a combination of an HD2 (with no promotion) and a translator that doesn't even get out of Salt Lake County, yet it's still pulling numbers comparable to stations with a much larger footprint. How long might it be before someone tries Lite AC on a big signal? We don't know how the Broadway stations are doing anymore since they no longer subscribe, but I would be thinking about it if I were them. They have what for the longest time has been the third country station in the market and could try getting out from under the shadow of KSOP-FM and K-Bull. U92 is another possibility. It's been steadily declining for a long time now. Once upon a time it was up near the top of the ratings. That was eons ago in radio terms.
What are your thoughts?

Rewind and The Eagle have usually been at the bottom of the pile in terms of numbers, but easy to sell spots group wide they cover specific demos. So I'm not sure there will be any changes ahead format wise.
Can someone explain to me why I Heart flipped KOSY (which I think was AC at the time) to a rock format (one of many on the dial)... only to put Lite AC back on a smaller signal? (and start over with branding).

It definitely appears that the soft AC (or lite, if you prefer) format is catching on in the Salt Lake market. After months of being a "cellar dweller" in the ratings, KLO edged up just a little in the most recent book. Considering that KLO is an AM music station and Capital has done almost nothing to promote the format change, the audience must be building through word of mouth. I also noticed that KSOP-AM and KKAT-AM nudged up a little as well, so maybe this is the start of an upward trend in AM listening. Nah, couldn't be--just wishful thinking on my part. ;-)

levoix, KOSY hadn't been doing Lite AC since the early 2000's. I could get into the weeds about how Easy 99.1 isn't really Lite AC, but I'll try to refrain. In any case it's lighter than what AC stations (like FM 100) are generally playing today so we'll just go with that. You would also have to remember that the current fad of Lite AC got kicked off in 2018 with stations in San Francisco and Miami taking a chance and being remarkably successful with it. Everyone else then jumped on the bandwagon. Sean Ross wrote an article a few days ago on it if you'd like to read it. radioinsight.com/ross/181404/fresh-listen-kisq-the-breeze-wfez-easy-93-1/ This was long after KOSY flipped to KAAZ which happened way back in December of 2012.
