Heard a couple on-air people were let go yesterday.
Since ratings were just released I wonder if some format changes are coming.

I'm really sorry to hear about Tracy Chapman. He's a super good guy. Years ago, I did some singing up at the U of U at the Special Olympics for handicapped (sorry, I guess the politically correct term this week is disabled) kids and Tracy volunteered up there and brought all his DJ equipment and worked with those kids and I've been with him at other community events too. Hopefully, he'll land somewhere. KSOP or KUBL maybe. I hope we get a format change soon, a good one with really creative stunting and everything.

I very much doubt the ratings release had anything to do with the layoffs. It's very common to have layoffs at the end of the fiscal year. Fiscal years tend to be the same as calendar years, but some companies have it slightly different. July and December are somewhat common. I wouldn't be surprised if Broadway starts their fiscal year on Dec 1, which would fit with this announcement perfectly.
Watch for a lot of layoffs nationwide around Christmas.
