There's been a filing to sell KCSG to TV-49 Inc of 26 N Halsted St in Chicago. If that address sounds familiar, it might be. That's the address of Weigel Broadcasting of Me-TV/H&I/Decades fame. The price is $1.1 million.
Let the speculation begin.

I'm not surprised, since KCSG has been a Me-TV/H & I affiliate almost since the inception of each network. When KCSG was still a Me-TV affiliate, the only difference in what they broadcast vs. 4.2 was an hour delay, and infomercials three or four times a day instead of the network programming. I'm guessing that Weigel will dump the infomercials and carry the full H & I schedule once the sale is complete.

That's seems like a pretty good bet and I think that's a good thing. What might not be so good is the possibility of shutting down the news operation. I'm not sure what other local news there is these days in the Cedar City/St George area, but they've been historically underserved.
I also would expect that more Weigel networks would be added to the subchannels. Then the question becomes what about the Wasatch Front? Could they take the Me-TV affiliation away from KTVX when the contract is up? Might they buy one of the Salt Lake stations for OTA coverage up here? KULX springs to mind.

I'd hope that they wouldn't move Me-TV off of 4.2, but I can understand business. When I'm home on Saturdays, I love to watch the Sci-Fi Saturday Night. Hopefully they can get some OTA options in the Salt Lake Metro market.
I wonder when the contract with KTVX is up?

Yes. Oh, you wanted to know which ones. K16DS-D and K27MQ-D both licensed to St George. As far as I know both are translators for KCSG.

The sale of KCSG and the translators has been approved by the FCC. No notice that the deal has been consummated yet.
