Since the previous thread on this subject is now locked, I'm posting a new thread. According to an article in today's online edition of the Ogden Standard Examiner, KWCR's license is officially for sale. I'm heartbroken--a portion of my memories of being in the broadcasting program at Weber State is now dead and buried. What I'm wondering is why it took the board of trustees until March to approve the sale of the license when it's been listed for sale on the net since January: www.standard.net/Education/2017/03/22/Weber-State-to-sell-FM-student-radio-license-for-KWCR-88-1.html

They knew they were going online only a year and a half ago. They said so. Maybe the vote is some formality or they weren't aware of it or a step needed to finish negotiations or some other weird thing, but there was no doubt that 88.1 from Weber was history.
To be honest I don't trust the Standard Examiner. I have firsthand knowledge that some of their operations are less than on the up and up so that causes me to wonder about this story.

All Access is only using the Standard Examiner story as a source, so......
The listing you mentioned we first talked about in January which seems to support my theory that this isn't actually anything new.
