This is one of the reasons I've stuck with Comcast (Xfinity) cable for the past 5 years. So far with Comcast I've been able to escape the fee battles between the local TV channels and Dish, and the charges for monthly service have remained fairly consistent for the past 3 years or so. One thing which Comcast does that doesn't sit well with me is when they drop certain channels from their digital starter package and move them to the digital preferred package, which costs an extra $20-$25 per month. In the past year Comcast has dropped Spike, CMT, FYI and VICE channels from their digital starter package and replaced them with more religious and home shopping channels that IMHO are nothing but a waste of bandwidth. Apparently there's no such thing as a perfect cable/satellite provider, or if there is I have yet to discover it.
