As Dana mentioned in the Christmas thread, Mix is indeed back on 103.9. I'm 99% sure this is the new K280GJ from Lake Mountain that was being discussed at talkingutahradio.proboards.com/thread/1526/k240ep-k284ay-kmgr-k280gj-partridge . Its license to cover was filed on Dec 13 and was approved on Fri the 22nd. The application specifically says that rather than rebroadcasting KUDD-HD2 it is rebroadcasting the main analog signal. I would guess the HD2 isn't running yet, so they can't rebroadcast what isn't there. Can anyone confirm what digital signals are there? I also suspect that once the HD2 signal is ready that the translator will change again.

I was just on a drive through Utah county, and saw billboards advertising "Mix 103.9" in Spanish Fork and Provo. Sounds like this may be permanent after all. Not sure why, as I have had no issues with 105.1 in Utah county.

105.1 has their analog and HD simulcast only, no HD2. 103.9 is loud and clear here in Murray -- must be the Lake Mountain translator.

The only thing I can think of with the billboards is that they're left over somehow from the old 107.9/103.9 Mix simulcast that went away last Spring. I can't believe they'd leave Mix on their permanently given the filings. If they need something to occupy the transmitter until the other signal is ready then put ESPN 700 on there or something. Then again, I don't understand a lot of what Broadway does.
