105.1 is sorta doing a countdown Saying Nothing lasts forever only 12 days left?
I was downtown and heard 105.1 in a few places I wish they would have given a good chance at this format to see if it had a chance to succeed even if it was just until next year.

The EDM format on 105.1 was never intended to be a real format. It's there to keep the transmitter warm until everything else is ready. Have there even been any commercials on that frequency since the Eagle simulcast was dropped?
It's certainly possible that Mix will start simulcasting or do a flat out move on April 1, but there are two things that bother me about that. One, April Fool's Day is a terrible day to do a major change like that. Everyone will think it's a joke. Two I already mentioned, but it bears repeating. There's nothing at all about this on any Mix webpages I can find. If they're definitely moving they absolutely need to be talking about it as much as possible. At least have a mention of it, even if the real publicity blitz doesn't happen for another week or so. Updating your website and Twitter feed and so on is zero cost. They're already updating them anyway. This is a no-brainer.
So maybe the move is happening, maybe not. It could just be a new stunt format. Stay tuned.

I was just saying it's something DIFFERENT on the radio waves here in Utah better than hearing Taylor Swift and Maroon 5 and Demi Lavoto every other song on our predictable radio stations thank goodness times have changed where I can program my OWN stations now or I'm at KCQN The next wave of new wave instead of bleh blah blewy local radio which really isn't local so much anyways. I also don't believe it will be called MIX 105.1 but something else.... unless they do the loop of saying turn your dial to 105.1 to continue listening to the mix for a week or 2 as it switches over. KCQN Long Live Bessie!

And still nothing on the Mix website, Twitter or Facebook.
Comon Broadway. This isn't brain surgery. As soon as the move was finalized this should have been on all your social media platforms.

DS, you might want to check again. "Beauty and a Beat" is on right now. There might have been a glitch.

It also might not be a bad idea to start recording 105.1 so you have hours to replay, if you like that sort of stuff. Just an idea.

RadioInsight is reporting (and it looks confirmed) that the new callsign for 107.9 will be KUMT. That was the callsign for 105.7 when it was The Mountain back in the 90's.

The Mountain is one radio station I actually miss having on the air. I wish it was still around so I could escape the non-stop political/election talk on KSL, KKAT-AM, KNRS, KLO, and NPR. I'm seriously considering investing in an HD or Wi-Fi radio to escape the banal Salt Lake AM/FM radio scene. eBay has some great deals on the Insignia HD radio right now for less than $40.00, and for that price I haven't got much to lose.

at Michaeljwyo, can you hear KUDD 107.9 in Wyoming yet? Can't find it, but remember you posting a while back that you couldn't hear KUDD, but could hear the rest of the Humpy stations.
