I was on vacation for a week and didn't see this. I worked with Dennis on numerous occasions at numerous stations since 1990. I remember well spending 2 days atop Promontory Peak playing tapes during the day of generic programming for KSOS (106.9) while Dennis was moving KSOS's studios from the Layton Hills Mall to the Eccles building in downtown Ogden. Dennis taught me EVERYTHING that I know about engineering and was always available any time I was working on something and couldn't figure it out. I'd call him. I knew it would lead to a 2 hour phone call because Dennis would go off on a tangent about something (those of you who knew Dennis know exactly what I mean). Everything I know about broadcast engineering I learned from him. And he wanted me to learn more. The more I knew, the fewer trips he'd have to make here to Evanston, WY because he knew I could handle it. He was always our contract engineer here at KEVA radio until its demise last summer and even then, Dennis was here several times trying to get the old McMartin transmitter running again. Dennis was an odd character but when it came to electronics and engineering he was literally a genius. They say "genius is borderline insanity." I always think of Dennis when I hear someone say that. Again, those of you who knew him know exactly what I mean. Any of us that knew Dennis know that he probably greeted St Peter at the gates of heaven and shook his hand and farted. That was Dennis.
